Selling Into Regulated Industries Where Compliance Is Mandatory
Our client is hiring an Account Executive to sell cleanroom compliance and inspection services directly to the facilities and organizations that operate them. Your buyers include pharmaceutical and biotech companies, hospitals and healthcare systems, medical device manufacturers, research universities, microelectronics manufacturers, and data centers.
⚖️ These buyers are not evaluating whether they need compliance services — they are required to have them. Your job is to make sure they choose our client.
This is a hunter role. You will identify and prospect regulated facilities across the country, build relationships with compliance and facilities decision-makers, and close new business through consistent outbound activity. The market is a billion-dollar opportunity with only a handful of salespeople operating in it nationally. The sales cycle is short — typically two to three months. Win rates are around 40%. The territory is the entire country.

What You Will Do
- Build your own pipeline through outbound prospecting — cold calling, cold emailing, and self-generated outreach to pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, hospitals, medical device manufacturers, research universities, microelectronics manufacturers, and data centers across the United States. There are no inbound leads handed to you.
- Conduct discovery calls via Zoom to understand a facility's compliance requirements, establish relationships with key decision-makers, and position our client as their preferred compliance and inspection provider.
- Win new accounts and nurture those relationships to ensure our client becomes the go-to partner for ongoing and future compliance needs.
- Navigate an unstructured environment as one of the earliest sales hires at a company that is still building its playbook. You won't have everything handed to you — and that should excite you.
- Participate in a structured interview process including a discovery call role play and a short case study exercise. Our client evaluates candidates on how they have performed relative to goals — be prepared to speak to quota attainment, lessons from deals that didn't close, and how you have pushed through adversity.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Consistent quota overachiever with documented results — percentages, rankings, awards, and recognition matter here. Our client will ask.
- 3–7 years in B2B sales, business development, or partner-driven sales roles.
- Experience generating pipeline through a combination of inbound leads and outbound prospecting — quota is $2M, with approximately $1M sourced via online leads and the remainder through pure hunting.
- A hunter mentality — you are energized by outbound prospecting, building pipeline from scratch, and winning new business.
- Demonstrated success managing opportunities through the full sales cycle.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage operational and compliance stakeholders at regulated facilities.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining clear pipeline visibility.
- CRM experience (HubSpot preferred).
- Comfortable working in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment where the playbook is still being written.
- Stable career history demonstrating commitment — our client values candidates who invest in their roles and relationships for the long term.
- Industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, healthcare, or facility services
- Familiarity with regulated environments, cleanroom standards, or compliance-driven sales
