Our client is a residential homebuilder specializing in 55+ active adult communities and highly customizable new construction homes. They are seeking an experienced New Home Sales Counselor to support an on-site community in the Richmond, Virginia (Chesterfield) area.

This is a high-impact sales role for a proven new home sales professional who knows how to convert traffic, follow up with discipline, and guide buyers confidently from first visit through settlement.

About the Role

As a New Home Sales Counselor, you will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective buyers throughout the entire homebuying process. You’ll be responsible for delivering a consultative, high-touch sales experience while achieving community sales goals.

This is not an order-taking role. Our client provides marketing support, events, and inbound traffic — success depends on strong follow-up, organization, and sales execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide buyers from first visit through agreement of sale and settlement

  • Convert traffic and appointments into signed contracts

  • Conduct strong discovery to understand buyer motivations and objections

  • Deliver a professional, consultative customer experience

  • Engage new and existing leads daily using CRM tools

  • Track activity, follow-up, and results with consistency

  • Coordinate closely with marketing, design, community leadership, and on-site teams

  • Maintain model homes, welcome center, and community presentation

  • Stay knowledgeable on competitor communities, resale programs, and financing options

Who You Are

  • 3–5+ years of proven success in new home sales

  • Strong consultative selling skills and objection handling ability

  • Highly organized with disciplined follow-up habits

  • Comfortable working on-site in a structured, team-selling environment

  • Professional, polished communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • Results-driven and accountable for performance
