A Market Leader in Electrical Infrastructure
Our client is a well-established manufacturer serving the electrical infrastructure and utility equipment markets. Their solutions support the safe transmission, distribution, and management of electrical power across utilities, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure environments across North America.
As the company continues to expand, they are seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead commercial growth, shape go-to-market strategy, and drive expansion across key markets. This executive will report to senior leadership, influence product direction, and build the high-performing sales organization the business needs to reach its next phase.
What You Will Lead
- Identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities across the utility and electrical infrastructure landscape
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute the company's commercial growth strategy
- Define market positioning and refine the value proposition based on competitive dynamics and customer needs
- Establish clear revenue goals, strategic priorities, and performance metrics for the sales organization
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across utilities, EPC firms, and large industrial customers
- Expand relationships with existing customers while identifying adjacent markets and new product opportunities
- Lead initiatives that improve commercial performance, including pricing strategy, sales process optimization, and customer engagement
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key customers and strategic partners
- Work closely with customers to understand operational challenges and align solutions to their long-term infrastructure needs
- Serve as a trusted advisor to major accounts while strengthening the company's position as a preferred supplier
- Establish a KPI-driven environment with measurable sales performance metrics and reliable forecasting models
- Support implementation or optimization of CRM systems to improve pipeline visibility and execution
- Deliver against revenue targets and manage business development budgets with disciplined expense management
- Provide regular performance updates to executive leadership and proactively address variances
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and finance to ensure alignment between customer needs and operational capabilities
- Provide market insights that inform product development and innovation efforts
- Collaborate with pricing and operations teams to drive profitable growth and margin expansion
What Will Help You Succeed
- 15+ years of professional experience with at least 10 years in senior commercial leadership roles
- Proven success leading sales organizations in industrial manufacturing, electrical equipment, or utility-focused markets
- Experience working with large utility customers, infrastructure operators, or industrial clients
- Background in strategic sales leadership, pricing strategy, revenue growth, and go-to-market planning
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field — MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to scale commercial growth
- Results-driven leadership style with a focus on accountability and execution
- High energy, urgency, and ownership mentality
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across the organization
- Track record of building, mentoring, and leading high-performing sales teams
- Exceptional negotiation and strategic selling capabilities
