What the 12-Month Replacement Guarantee Covers
We believe a guarantee should be straightforward. Here is exactly how ours works, with no ambiguity.
All scenarios are covered. If a placed candidate leaves or is terminated within 12 months for any reason, the guarantee applies. This includes performance issues, poor cultural fit, voluntary resignation, termination for cause, market changes, role restructuring, or any other circumstance. There are no exclusions based on the reason for departure.
Replacement Search, Not a Refund
The guarantee provides a full replacement search at no additional recruiting fee. It is not a refund of the original placement fee. If the placed candidate does not work out, we restart the search and deliver new candidates until you hire a replacement. You do not pay a second recruiting fee.
One Replacement Hire Per Placement
The guarantee covers one replacement hire per original placement. During the replacement search, you will receive multiple candidates to evaluate. However, once you hire the replacement candidate, the guarantee for that position is fulfilled. A second replacement for the same role is not included.
What Happens If the Replacement Hire Also Fails?
Needing to replace a placement is rare. To date, there has not been an instance where a replacement hire did not succeed. However, in the unlikely event that a replacement hire also does not work out, a third search for the same role would not be covered under the original guarantee.
Client Obligations
There is only one obligation that would void the guarantee: failure to pay the final invoice within 45 days of placement. Aside from timely payment, there are no client obligations, conditions, or behavioral requirements that would void or limit the guarantee.

What scenarios trigger a replacement under the guarantee?
All scenarios are covered. The guarantee applies regardless of the reason the placement ends. This includes termination for performance, voluntary resignation, poor cultural fit, role elimination, market-driven changes, or any other circumstance. There are no carve-outs, exclusions, or "covered reasons" limitations. If the placed candidate is no longer in the role within 12 months, the guarantee applies.
Is there a prorated refund option, or replacement only?
Replacement only. The guarantee provides a full replacement search at no additional recruiting fee. It is not a refund of the original placement fee and there is no prorated refund option. If the original hire does not work out, we restart the search and present new candidates until you make a replacement hire.
How many replacements are allowed under the guarantee?
One replacement hire per original placement. During the replacement search, you will receive multiple candidates to evaluate and interview. However, once you hire the replacement candidate, the guarantee for that position is fulfilled. The guarantee does not cover unlimited sequential replacements for the same role.
What happens if the replacement hire also does not work out?
Needing to replace a placement is rare, and to date there has not been an instance where a replacement hire did not succeed. However, in the unlikely event that a second hire for the same role also does not work out, a third search would not be covered under the original guarantee terms.
Are there any client obligations that void the guarantee?
