A Dealer-Channel Sales Role for a Growing Electric Mobility Manufacturer

Precision Sales Recruiting placed a Territory Sales Manager for a growing electric mobility manufacturer expanding its U.S. dealer network. The role required direct experience selling electric mobility or comparable dealer-sold equipment — someone who already understood how physical, technical products move through independent partners.

This was a high-visibility, sales-first role designed for a strong individual contributor comfortable operating with significant autonomy across a national territory — not a generalist, and not someone coming from SaaS or door-to-door backgrounds.

What the Role Required

  • Own dealer and channel sales across the United States
  • Build, onboard, and activate independent dealers selling electric or mechanical products
  • Conduct in-person and virtual product demonstrations with dealers and end customers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, including dealer onboarding
  • Drive revenue through disciplined territory planning and execution
  • Help refine sales strategy, territory coverage, and go-to-market approach
  • Support and guide part-time or independent sales representatives as markets mature

Travel was expected to be approximately 60 to 70 percent initially, decreasing as territories stabilized and additional sales support was added.

This role was designed for someone who thrives with clear expectations and measurable outcomes.

  • Year-one team revenue target of $7M to $10M
  • Personal contribution of approximately 30 percent of total revenue
  • First sale expected within approximately 45 days

Who This Role Was Built For

Required
  • 4 to 7+ years of territory sales experience selling electric mobility, EV-related products, or comparable equipment through dealers
  • Direct experience selling products such as e-bikes, electric vehicles, mobility equipment, power sports, golf carts, or similar dealer-sold hardware
  • Proven success working with independent dealers, distributors, or multi-location partners
  • Comfort with frequent travel and autonomy in managing a large territory
  • Strong consultative selling and dealer relationship-building skills
  • A desire to grow into leadership while remaining sales-focused
Nice to Have
  • Mandarin fluency or experience working with China-based manufacturing or leadership teams
  • Experience launching or scaling a dealer network in the U.S.
  • Background in early-stage or growth-phase manufacturing companies
